The Author
Matt and his wife Mia live in Michigan with their two girls. Matt is employed with The Department of Defense where he serves the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces as a Supply Management Specialist.
Matt earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Cornerstone University, his M.B.A. from Liberty University, and is a graduate of RHEMA Bible Training College in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Along with being a published author and DoD employee, Matt and his wife travel the country communicating to youth. They bring the message of faith to young people so that future generations will be empowered to achieve their goals, serve those in need, and create positive change in their families and communities.
The Company
Founded in 2014, Little Patriot Press began its mission of sharing stories with kids. Author and founder, Matt McCarty, first published The Gift to teach kids a simple definition of freedom, and how to recognize and honor those who defend it. The Gift accomplished this by having the reader follow a character named Matthew as he learned a very valuable lesson.
Through proceeds from the sale of The Gift, Matt was able to make donations to several veteran related charities including the Fisher House Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project. Matt has appeared on the Lori Moore Show and even received a letter of appreciation from former U.S. President, George W. Bush for his work.
Now that The Gift has proven successful in teaching the next generation about these important American values, Matt is proud to announce the launch of a new book entitled, The Dream. The Dream continues following young Matthew as he learns about the importance of dreams, the American value of equality, and the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
These fine stories are beautifully illustrated by Hannah Spangler. Both Matt and Hannah hope that these simple tales will help mold future generations to appreciate American values and remember American history.
